One of A Kind Folk Art Rabbit ~ Miss Tessa

Good morning. Oh my goodness, is this deep freeze ever going to end!! I do so love winter..but being this cold...for this long...is crazy and frankly..a bit much :). It's actually very unheard of here in Vermont to have it be this cold for this long ...we definitely have below zero temps here this time of year...but not usually for so many days in a row..and the days most generally warm up even if the nights are below zero. I'm snug inside with the wood stove and lot's of warm and toasty beverages so I'm okay...but my heart goes out to all of those folks who have to work outside in this weather (my husband being one of them) and then there are the homeless that I can never get off my mind when this cold hits us this time of year..and the animals...particularly pets....Everyone, please...even if your pet is use to going out and staying out for awhile in the winter...this weather is absolutely to cold for them to be out for any length of time...please keep them indoors...especially at night. So sorry to lecture....lol..I actually meant for this post to be a quick little post..and then I got sidetracked....okay...on to the business at hand!! :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am trying my hand at ebay again..Stop by and have a look if you get a chance. I'm hoping to have something available often...I'm going to try my best anyway :)
I just love this gal..I think she may be my best work yet!
Have a great day everyone. Thank you ever so much for stopping by!
Stay Warm!!
(I just had to share this picture...I took it the other day and I just love it :)
Doreen,I have to agree with you ,it is indeed one of your best! She is beautiful in detail,and her heart is opened to all who will love her. That mini vacation has inspired you . I think everyone is sick of Mother Nature's little pranks. I too worry in this awful weather about those poor soles who have no place to go . Travling south last winter it was common place to see people sleeping under bridges,small fires buring trying to keep warm. It always brought tears to my eyes,as most were the eldery. I can't understand how in this day and age we can find the money for a space program but we can not take care of our elders. I think your messages is going to bring out a response from many on this subject. As for the animals ,those poor helpless ones who give nothing but love an joy and ask only to be protected from the elements "shame on those who don't " I know how worried when that little jakes does not show up for his evening meal but he knows you will be watig when he does return with a warm meal and a big hug. Ok I tooshall get off my soap box. Anyone else need to vent? Mom
Thanks for recent visit to my blog. Your weather is much colder then ours here in NC. Be sure drink plenty of coffee, tea and hot chocolate, whichever is your pleasure. ☺ Take Care.
I thought no one could be cuter than Miss Tibbels, but that was before I saw Miss Tessa! How precious, especially that big olde nose!
I'll put my "vent" in a separate comment in case it needs to be removed!!! I am extremely distressed about the homeless situation in our country! It is just unspeakably wrong to have homeless. The excuse is often given that they are "mentally ill." AND??? Of course many are! Mentally ILL -- ill, as in sick, a in needing care, yet no care if here for the mentally ill! Just try to get some mental health care, it's a ROTTEN system from the loony psychiatrists on down! There's no help for these confused souls, not from the medical profession, and frankly, many churches just blame them or shy away from them! THESE THE LEAST OF MY BROTHERS a certain very famous HOMELESS someone said...someone who was regarded as a crazy man by many -- Surely our government can provide SOMETHING for them, even an imperfect system!!!
Hi Doreen - I couldn't agree with you more about this cold weather. I don't think we have a break coming none too soon. This morning we woke to MINUS 14 and that wasn't windchill - it was actual temp.
Your new creation is adorable and good luck with Ebay.
It was 16 degrees here in south georgia last night. All my animals were tucked nicely inside the house with me but all I could think about were those who were not...
And in Savannah, GA they've cracked down on the homeless and are in the process of tearing down the makeshift hovels they call home and to make them "move along". WHERE?!
Doreen, this is a lovely, lovely doll but her inspiration from your lovely heart is what makes her fantastic!
Many Blessings,
Jamie
Your Bunny is so very sweet, Doreen. Here, it had been down right...ARTIC COLD! We were finally above zero this past weekend and yesterday.
We are in for another cold snap. I hope this one is shorter then the last. Stay warm and happy creating.
Blessings,
Hi Doreen!!
Your bunny is lovely. I just love that sweet old dress and her face is beautiful. I'm sure you will do well with her on Ebay. I've had it with this freezing weather also. I've already got a touch of Spring fever and it's so far far away.
