~Three Little Kittens Primitive Prairie Set~Good morning everyone. We have a major winter storm hitting us right now..the snow started about 6:30 this morning and there is a howling, obnoxious wind accompanying it. It's gusting down through the stove pipe and giving my poor little wood stove fits...every few minutes it sounds like it's going to explode it's roaring so loud then a small bit of smoke sneaks out the damper..this should be an interesting day that is for sure! I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed that the power will stay on but I'm getting my candles out just in case!

I did finish up a new set to put on my website. I just love this set of Prairie Kittens inspired by the Nursery Rhyme "The Three Little Kittens" which has always been a favorite of mine.

They are completely stuffed with sawdust and have lightly penciled faces. Their little cotton dresses are hand stitched and they hold little aged paper "Little Golden Books". They are listed under "Wee Creatures" on my website.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Mornin' dear friend---I am trying to catch up with my bloggin buds today---it seems as though I have let that lapse--naughty --so naughty---so that is what I am about this morning and then I am working on my stuff to get to the shop---I promised them I would have it up there by Tuesday---what a dummy---I wish I would have said Thursday--oh well!!! Then---I am good to goooo---missed you this mornin cuz of that---but look forward to chattin with ya soon---Ali is on Spring Break this week and I have to take her back to the dr's this afternoon--sick as a dog!

Lisa..your day sounds wonderful! I think I too am going to make some bread..I mix mine in the bread machine and then bake it in the oven..much less mess and still wonderful homemade bread! You are right about this storm..anything not nailed or tied down is not scattered across the yard!
Rea...twas wondering where you were this morn. I'm so sorry to hear Ali is sick...let me know how you make out at the Dr's. I was on early and then got busy around the house..I'm checking my emails now and then its' back to work..I think we may lose power...and the internet....the dsl being really jumpy! Good luck with you shop creations...I would be there helping you if I could. I forgot to tell ya that I had a shop in Maine call me and they want to carry my stuff!!! I need to get busy with that order with in the next day or two. Don't overdo... :)Love ya

Doreen, The Three Little Kittens were meant to be as you always loved that story as a Wee One ! I am excited about your new venture, the introduction of your creations to the shop in Maine .I want to let you know that you can save the shipping,I will be happy to hand deliver them for you .I am dying to go on a road trip. The one to Paul Smith does not count as it was a bit stressful . Today is not going to be a day for the sap to run but the storm must be making you smile. It was another wonderful family gathering last night ,all that was missing were Kurt and Jenna .I am just thankful Kurt gets better every day and Jen is making sure he gets all that protein he needs to heal.. Love Mom

The kitties are so sweet! I especially love their outfits. Love the prairie dolls too. :) How much snow did you get today? We got about 8 inches and it looks like the delivery I was expecting (another cabinet!) isn't going to make it here today after all.

Doreen I know you are probably sick of the snow but reading this post has me wishing I were curled up by your stove watching the beautiful snow fall. I'd even take the howling wind.
We prayed all night that it would snow here...there was actually a pretty good chance but it was not to be. My little one climbed into bed with me just before 6 this morning asking 'Mama did it snow?'.
