Joyous Holiday Weekend To You & Yours

Good morning. Our holiday weekend is starting off with some clouds and a cool breeze...however, they are forecasting 73*...and partly sunny....perfect for garden planting! Actually, a nice rain shower after we've put everything in the ground would be just lovely....as it would save on me having to water! :) We have a very busy weekend ahead...one full of bbq's, planting and gatherings......two bbq's are family affairs and then this evening we have a gathering with friends..... all of which should be lots of fun!

I snapped a few pictures yesterday while wandering around the yard in the early evening while Mark was mowing the lawn.....

~Some of the goodies I got at our local greenhouse~

~Geraniums I purchased yesterday ...don't they look like roses...I love them, I planted them in the whiskey barrel at the bottom of the driveway~

Happy long weekend. It's a bit overcast and rainy here too, but later we are supposed to have a beautiful day. My hubby is already out powerwashing the deck for me to stain...oh joy, lol.

We have a cookout here tomorrow and one at a friends Mon, so I will be busy cooking and baking later.

Enjoy your weekend and lets take a moment to remember all the brave people who have given their lives for this great country.

Hope the BBQ's are wonderful and that the usual uninvited guests of ants, flies, and bees are NOT in attendance!

What a jewel of a setting for your home. So pretty!

You have such a beautiful yard and view across the street! Your flowers are so pretty too. I hope you had fun at your BBQs - I also went to two of them this holiday weekend and thoroughly enjoyed both. :)

Hi Doreen!!

Oh I'm so jealous of that rock wall. We just don't have those lovely walls here in PA like you all have up north.

Beautiful pictures. It sounds like you had a fun Memorial Day weekend. It was the perfect weekend for planting and BBQ's!

Have a great day!
Jenn

What a beautiful garden! The farmers here in Georgia are loving the abundant hay crops this year too.
