~Greetings. The snow and the wind doth blow on this Tuesday morning in Vermont. We had a fresh new layer of snow overnight and now it is softly falling & is swirling about, slamming into the windows on a strong, bitter blustery wind! I shall be stitching the day away by a cozy fire. Wishing you a joy filled day.~

~A Snowy December Afternoon~

Days like today are one of my favorite kind of days....it's been snowing all day..the trees are softly laden with snow....it's just dark enough outside to make the lite candles and lamps glow with warmth...the fire is softly crackling and the house is quiet except for the occasional chirp of a bird at the window feeder. I've sat quietly at the dining room table enjoying the snow and letting new ideas form & slowly come to life on paper.

The heavenly hustle & bustle of the last two weeks has settled and the house is quiet again...the kids headed back home bright & early this morning before the storm arrived.

Jenna & Ben needed to prepare for their trip to Florida on the 9th and Kurt & Aneesa headed to the slopes of White Face. Kurt & Aneese will be back to stay again in a few days and Jenna & Ben will be here on the 7th to stay for a couple of days before their trip...Reese will be staying with us while his parents are away. So...in a few days..the house will be busy again..but for now...I'll enjoy this quiet, snowy & beautiful December afternoon.Wishing you a most pleasant evening,
Doreen

Good day Doreen!

The snow is coming down heavily here in upstate New York this morning.
So pretty but so cold!
Good day to create.

Have a wonderful day!

What a peaceful setting and more calming thoughts. It certainly has been a bustling kind of Christmas season, but now the quiet sets in and we can reflect on the new year and what's to come. May it be a fruitful and joyous one for you and your family!

Oh Doreen, I just love your posts! I could just feel the peace of the afternoon. I'm longing for a day like that - maybe next week. My creative juices are flowing and I want to get ideas down to start for the shop! It's about 16 degrees here this morning, so I think I'm going to play games and snuggle with my little granddaughter. Have a great day, Dawn
