~New Offerings & My Donation To The People Of Haiti~

~Enid~
(Taking a limited number of custom orders for Enid ~Visit my website for info)

Good morning everyone. I'm so sorry for my lack of posting this month! I've been so busy with the kids being in & out and working in the studio ....well.....there just isn't enough hours in the day it would seem. So sorry about that...I will try my best....to post more often.
Now..I would like to share my newest offerings with you.......First..let me introduce you all to "Enid"...OH MY GOODNESS...I LOVE HER!!! The name "Enid" means "Soul" or "Life"..I chose the name Enid..not having any idea what it meant....when I looked up the meaning ..that little voice of mine started talking...as it often does....AND....I've decided that the proceeds for "Enid" will be donated to The American Red Cross Relief Fund For Haiti.

Oh geez.....well..I just went to make Enid's photo a link...and when I clicked on my website homepage...Enid & Barlow...were missing.....me being me...I thought....oh geez..what did I mess up...but...then an email came through with payment for them...... they had sold!!!.... :)...THANK YOU EVER SO MUCH Margaret!!!....goodness that's always a wonderful way to start the day!

Enid & Barlow will be traveling to Ohio to live :)!
~Barlow~
It took me a while to remember the basics of bearmaking....and these little guys are challenging to make!!! The larger bears are far easier...some of us were talking about that on facebook..often...people see smaller and think the price should be smaller...when in actuality...it's just the opposite! Barlow is made from antique mohair and wears..what is going to be.... my "trademark" thing for my mohair bears & animals. A handmade "token" with different little images! I thought they needed a little something just for them!!! :)

I also have a new l
ittle mouse available....
~Little Rato'n~~Little Raton has sold ~ Thank you ever so much Karen!!! ~
Little Raton will be moving to New Hampshire~

She's a little Valentine Mouse. Isn't she so sweet! She is holding her very first Valentine from her one true love :).

Wishing you all a wonderful day,
Doreen

ps...I have a new recipe to share.....hopefully I will find time to share it in the next day or so. :)

27 delightful friends dropped in for a visit:

Doreen-Enid is wonderful-please make more...I was looking again at your side bar-the animals you make have this wonderful spark of personality-it goes beyond being cute even-they have a touch that makes them true art-couldn't be reproduced by any one but you-you give them that sweet realness-I don't know how to put it really-but gosh! Thanks for sharing your art with the world!!

Doreen,
What a wonderful way to start off the new year. I am so glad that your first thought went to helping these people in their time of need . Giving is always far more rewarding than any amount of money! As always your offerings have been reconized for the love you put into them . Mom

Hi Doreen,

I love Enid, Barlow and the sweet mouse. You have been very busy.
I have found little time to blog lately with family and things, so it is good to come over for a visit.
I too have been thinking so much of the people from Haiti.
There has been a NZ lady that has lost her husband and two of her daughters there. She managed to save herself and one little daughter, so very sad.

Have a lovely weekend
Hugs
Carolyn

Hi Doreen. First and foremost, what a great idea to give proceeds to our friends in need, but for some reason your giving doesn't surprise me. What a generous heart! Maybe your idea will spark something in the blog world for everyone to do the same, wouldn't that be something? I love your new creations, they are just adorable. I have to tell you that your music is so soothing and beautiful. Sometimes I leave your blog up just so I can listen to the music! Have a great day my friend, Dawn

I love the whole idea of the donations. I am going to be having surgery the first of next month but I want to put my order in for three of your great creations. I would love to have Enid, Barlow and the sheep with the blanket. Please email me and let me know what the charge would be. I am so excited to have your sweet creations looking back at me.

Hi hon, just found your blog! I just had your website. I've now added you to my list of fave blogs on my blog and following you too so I don't miss a beat.
Brrr...20 below? And I was thinking of moving there? Hmm...may have to rethink that! Warm wishes - Jeannine

Adorable!! Your bear-making skills certainly never left you! I agree, the smaller items are often the most time consuming and tedious to create.
You've done a wonderful job...hope to see more soon! :)
