Good day my friends. The air floating in the our windows this morning is just lovely. The field across the way has been freshly mown, filling the air with it's sweet scent & a gentle breeze is catching hold of it and carrying it to us. So very delightful!
This morning after my run, I shall be making this wonderful rustic blackberry tart. 
Mark & I spent last evening on the mountain across from our house picking two baskets full of wonderful blackberries. Once the tart is in the oven and I've given the house a quick neatening and put a load of laundry on the line I will be heading into the studio to work on orders until lunch time. This afternoon I shall be working on show inventory. Dinner this evening will be burgers on the grill, fresh local corn on the cob & macaroni salad.

yes..i just love those relaxing summer dinners on the deck...our son Kurt and a friend of his joined us this evening so it was especially wonderful..now I am sitting on the front porch in my favorite Adirondack Chair answering emails and visiting with friends...on Kurt's laptop..which is oh so handy :)

Good afternoon Donna. It's so lovely to see you. I agree...berry picking should take place in the early morning or at dusk..which is when we go...I love that time in particular as it seems to be when the deer are out and about and I do so love seeing them :)
