One minute you're coloring (and hiding) Easter Eggs, wrapping handmade Easter baskets with bright colored cellophane and leaving powdered bunny tracks around the house after they've gone to bed and the next minute one of them is grown & moved so far away you're spending your first Easter without them :( I speak of that beautiful girl of mine...Jenna...
I could swear it was yesterday she was still this little....
I could swear it was yesterday she was still this little....

...Time goes by so DARN fast.......
Just look at her now...living it up in Florida..basking in the glorious sun....
She looks so happy doesn't she....THAT'S ALL THAT MATTERS!
I WOULD like to know though..just exactly who gave her and her brother permission to grow up so fast! It certainly was not me!!!
Speaking of Kurt...my baby....this sweet little innocent fellow right here....will be 22 on the 29th!!!
TWENTY TWO!!!
Gosh he's handsome....
.
Time goes by so darn fast.....(did I say that already).
So anyway..as I mentioned above before I headed down memory lane..Jenna & and her sweetie Ben will not be here for Easter this year....they will be snorkeling off the Coast of Florida and camping on the beach..definitely not a bad way to spend Easter...I would have preferred her to be here though :)Gosh I MISS HER SO MUCH....it's okay..she'll be home in June for a visit..and then we will be going there to visit in the fall.....................
Thankfully Kurt will be here for Easter diner.. We are also celebrating his birthday tomorrow night with the family..... cake and ice cream and such..I'm pretending he's still little ;)
Kurt will be home for at least a little while longer as he has another year of college left.....my goodness I do not know if I could have handled both of them leaving at once...let me tell you though....his sister is trying her very best to talk him into joining her and Ben!!!!
So Easter will be different for us this year but we will get through it...time marches on.....

12 delightful friends dropped in for a visit:
Hi Doreen,
Isn't it strange, they grow up so fast but yet we don't age?
Happy Easter to you and your precious family.
Walden says "me too".
Hugs
Doreen,
I can relate to your story! Two of mine are away, one 5 hours driving and the other 12 hours flying! I do have one more close by though!
Your daughter is beautiful and son very handsome! It is sad that we can't keep them little forever!
Happy Easter to you and yours!
Smile!
~Donna~
Doreen ,I can not believe she will not be here !! OUR FIRST HOLIDAY WITHOUT HER!!! We will miss her laughter and precious smile but alas she is our wonder .Do you think she will miss us when she is snorkeling off KEY Largo ?? I can not wait for June to see her again .Now for our young MAN I say we hide his keys and lock him in his room because you know she will try to get him too.
I feel for you Doreen...
This is the first year neither of my girls will be home...What's Left?
I too miss them so much. But it's part of being a parent, Happy & Contented children!!!
Lovely photo's of your Babes..
Not a BAD place to be at Easter though...Sun & Fun...
I was up in Burlington last weekend visiting Catherine, such a wonderful time we had.
Happiest Spring to you All
Always~Marilyn
Hi Doreen,
I almost can't read your blog. I was thinking the same thing today as I was taking Lydia's picture coloring Easter eggs. How tall she's gotten and how fast it's going. It's bittersweet. My heart goes out to you. Soon you will be seeing her though. I'm glad Kurt will be home to cheer you.
Hope your Easter is filled with much love and happiness.
All my best ~ hugs ~ Jenn
Life is always changing and they do have to fly which is what we really want them to do but it is so painful until we get used to it. Been there. They appreciate you 10 times more once they leave home.
Good morning Doreen...
Yes, time does pass ever so swiftly, but love and happiness shared, lives on and on.
Powdery bunny prints are so very precious, and shall look for a few come our Easter morn!
Wishing you and your family an Easter filled with sweet blessings, and the beauty of Springtime.
Yours most fondly,
Judy
Doreen, I keep telling my daughter enjoy every single moment while your children are growing. They grow up way to fast. I too will be missing my oldest daughter and her family. Thank goodness for Skype keeping me sane, while my daughter lives 12 hours away from us. I'm so happy my other daughter will be with us tomorrow. Have a wonderful Easter my friend.
Hugs,
Tammy
Hi Doreen,
It must be an epidemic with the kids moving out. My daughter won't be here for Easter either, she just moved out. I so miss making a basket for her, I feel weird not doing it, but I still have a 10 yr old, yeah hard to believe I have one that age when I am 52, but still very glad he is home. We dyed eggs tonight and I loved it. My heart goes out to you lady, but hang in there, you know the grandkids may be coming sooner or later. Hugs, Cathy
I hope you still have a lovely, lovely Easter, Doreen!!! They do grow up way too fast, though, don't they?! At ages 13 and 16, this year was the first year we didn't do an all out Easter egg hunt...sigh. But I did convince them to do a mini one...smile!
Warmly,
Cheryl
