" "Artists are visionaries. We routinely practice a form of faith, seeing clearly and moving toward a creative goal that shimmers in the distance – often visible to us, but invisible to those around us.” – Julia Cameron

~Merrye July~

OH MY GOODNESS...I am SUCH a BAD blogger!!!  It has been ages since my last visit!  I do apologize!!  As always my poor blog seems to end up at the bottom of my to-do list.  This Summer has just been SO busy and any semblance of a schedule or organization has just flown right out the open windows!  Perhaps that's why I am so much more organized in the Winter~~~~ No open windows!!!...

I am actually just plain swamped..but it is a VERY good swamped and where I was stressed and harried a few months ago I am now relaxed and at ease...knowing that somehow, I always seem to get everything done that has to be done....when it needs to be....or close to it anyway.... therefore I guess I must be somewhat organized...perhaps I do not give myself enough credit!!!  Anyway...to help keep me (or get me..lol) organized..I've taken on an assistant...(A birthday present from my sweet husband)

PLEASE MEET ZOE!
Oh..I just LOVE her...she is seriously fantastic..she can do just about anything and is doing an excellent job, in the short time I've had her, in helping to get me organized and on track where work is concerned and she's just plain fun for everything else :)

Speaking of work...I've many things in various stages.  I actually do not think I've ever had this many projects going at once..lol

Here's a sneak peek at just a few of the things I have in the works...:)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Along with my regular Vermont Harvest Folk Art creations...I am in the process of starting a new line...
The "Little Folk Line"
It is a line of items for the "wee one's"...quilts, baby blankets, bibs, lovies, slippers, etc... made from all natural & organic materials.......for example....the quilts are made from 100% organic cotton fabric (fabric samples above) with a 100% natural wool batting and are tied with 100% cotton floss..they are so lovely and I am SO excited!!  It's exciting starting something new.  The "Little Folk Line" will be available exclusively through my nieces new Organic Baby Food Boutique "Vermont Organic Baby Food" here in Southern Vermont...Opening Soon :)
So..that's a fraction of what I've been up to..I wish I had time to fill you in on the Garden happenings ..I will just say..it is THE BEST garden we have ever had ...everything is growing like mad...the tomato plants are literally taller than I am and LOADED with fruit!!  I will pop back in a day or so to share some photo's and a recipe or two.
there has been LOTS of shredding of Zucchini!!!
AND...last but not least..I've not forgotten about my sourdough chronicles...my starter is still doing wonderfully and has provided us with some delicious bread..the photo below was my first loaf and OH MY GOODNESS..it was delicious!  I will share more on that soon as well.
For now..I bid you good day!!
:)Doreen
Well, Doreen, you aren't the only one neglecting, blog.
I can't wait to see the new line too.
If I could have a smidgen of your energy, I would be somewhat organized.
