Besides the autumn poets sing,
A few prosaic days
A little this side of the snow
And that side of the haze.
A few prosaic days
A little this side of the snow
And that side of the haze.

Good afternoon. Tis a delightfully cool and crisp Fall day here in Vermont as I stitch moppets by the front window watching leaves swirl and skitter across the yard. I've a batch of cinnamon raisin bread rising by the stove and coffee brewing for my afternoon coffee break which, I think I will enjoy on the front porch. I have been enjoying working from home today SO VERY MUCH! I have on my flannel pants, cozy tee shirt and slippers, my candles are burning & I've Little Woman playing.
I wanted to share a few photo's I've taken over the past week or so. Things in the works (of which I have many) the yard, porch and so on.
We did a bit of yard cleaning and porch decorating yesterday....The porch has a long way to go..I've only added a couple of mums and pumpkins..I've yet to add all my corn stalks and hay bales.

This is the basket I did for the front porch..I just LOVE these colors together...brown, mossy green & ivory
SO PRETTY!
And..here is A studio/shop shot...a pumpkin head I am working on..one of my candles and a wee black bear :)

Some of the tomatoes we canned :) YAY!!!!
One of the many batches of coleslaw Mark has made this summer..he has perfected it this year..oh my goodness it is soo good!
I am off now to tend to my cinnamon bread :) Oh I can hardly wait to smell it baking...and start dinner. Tonight we are having Chicken Alfredo, popovers and white wine :) AS...It is our anniversary ♥

And lastly..a shot of the sky today as I stood in the front yard..:)I love this time of year when the sky gets black and dark and then nothing happens..so odd..yet so typical of this time of year.

Hi Doreen,
I love your posts. We are planning another move (hopefully the last) and we are very interested in Springfield, VT. We want rural, small town, everybody knows you - and a Main St. Oh gosh, I can't wait.
Hugs
Happy Anniversary! Sounds like a delicious anniversary dinner. These are my kind of days too, nothing better than fall. Have a joyous evening my friend.
Happy anniversary, Doreen and Mark! I love that you're enjoying working from home and making the most of the days that you do. Thank you for sharing the coziness...I feel less than cozy myself and should take some cues from you. Hugs to you! Wish we lived closer! ~Deb
