~Merry Projects~

" Like snowflakes, my Christmas memories gather and dance - each beautiful, unique and too soon gone."

Glad Tidings To You.  What a lovely day I am having~Merry projects abound! Tis bitter cold & blustery outside with patches of snow still remaining from last nights dusting, save for any warmth of the sun to melt it away.  Inside things are snug and warm as the fire burns and the aroma of turkey soup mingles with the smell of a frittata fresh from the oven, coffee brewing, bread slowly rising on the counter and popcorn popped for stringing.    I am surrounded by snippets of wool & mohair as I work on a new bear, quite olde fashioned in it's design, for my next web show & sneak in a few stolen moments for a wool applique project....a Christmas gift in the making.

This evening, when my work day is done, still several hours away as I want to get to a certain point on my new bear AND cut out & pin No.3 in the Wee Story Characters Line, I shall sit myself down to string the popcorn I popped this morning.  We will be making our trek out into the woods for our tree early this year.  Each year when Christmas is over and it is time to take down our lovely tree..I am never ready to part with it.  Therefore, this year we have decided to fore-go the wait for snow & head off to Mr. Clark's tree farm this weekend so that we may enjoy our Christmas tree  throughout the Merry Month Of December! :)  Do you have your tree up yet?

I just realized while I was writing this that I never did a post for my last web show...and here I thought I was so far ahead of the game these last few days.  Gracious...well, a little late..please meet...

Wishing you a Merry Evening

Good afternoon Doreen! What a warm and cozy day you are having! I can just about smell the your turkey soup.
I so enjoy reading your post, they always inspire me to create!
Enjoy the rest of your day and have fun getting your Christmas tree. In our house it's become tradition to get it the day after Thanksgiving. That way we can enjoy it for a good long time!
Happy Holidays to you and yours.

Yes I have my tree up. We put ours up very early about middle of November. Seems to be the tradition here in Australia.

Just wanted to stop by and see your beautiful creations again, Doreen... Oh, how I love Miss Townshend, too!
But they are all precious... I could hug and love on all of them! :)
Hope you're having a wonderful day, Sweetie.
