~A New Year Begins~

Good afternoon.  We've a bitter cold day here in Vermont...the kind of biting cold that freezes your nostrils together should you be brave enough to meander out in it and silly enough to take a forgetful breath through your nose.  It's forcing itself, quite uninvited I might add, inside through our window casing and creaky old doorways...seeking warmth from itself I suppose. I am always thankful to work from home and days like this make me especially thankful.  The fire is going, I've a loaf of homemade bread fresh from the oven, a pot of camomile  tea steeping and Miss Potter playing in the dvd player and am about to sit myself down and stitch moppets.  Rabbits to be exact...two of them. I also have a bear awaiting life (one similar to Winter Joy) and a pile of custom orders to work on.   The sweet fellow pictured above... I finished up this morning..he is my First Bear of 2013 :).  (I actually worked on him while "on holiday vacation"..shhh..don't tell)  It was a much needed, relaxing and wonderful holiday... but it is time to dive back to into my work.

This month will be spent finishing up custom orders for my "Wee Story Characters" then in February, I will hold my first Web Show of 2013....Monday, February 4th at 7:00 pm to be exact :)

I do hope everyone's Holidays were wonderful and you are happy & healthy for the New Year.  I for one am filled with excitement and wonder...anxiously awaiting to see where the moppets take me.

Until next time,

Doreen, I too have frozen nostrils living here in "northern" Vermont and it is to be even colder tonight so I have my stove going as well. I love your bear! He makes me smile inside, :) Stay cozy, ♥ Judi

Hi Doreen, What a lovely picture you paint. Can I come over?? I've been having a heck of a time trying to bake this bread Dino's grandma used to make and it just isn't tasting the same! (I have no recipe for it, just potatoes and crisco lol). I hope you had a wonderful holiday. I've caught a little on facebook but really haven't been on much these last two weeks. Wishing you and your family many blessings this year.
All my best ~ Jenn xo
