~Running On A Wooded Path~

Every leaf speaks bliss to me

Fluttering from the autumn tree. ~ Emily Bronte

This morning, while running, my wooded path was littered with colorful leaves..what a LOVELY sight!  Good morning!  This final August Friday in the year 2013 has dawned cloudy with rain in the forecast.  Actually, we've rain predicted daily for the next five days and then a sharp cool down is expected..I'm excited!  Perhaps i'll roast a turkey next week when it's cool.  This time of year always makes me want to roast things!

On to other news... ;) ...This morning was my final run in our woods..it is time to move to the pavement!  It is also time to change my routine and leave Young Oliver at  home.  I love him to pieces but a good running companion he is NOT!  He follows behind me with 4' sticks in his mouth and then spurts ahead of me, either knocking the stick into my legs or forcing me to veer of the path and break my concentration.  My new schedule will have me out on the pavement at 6:00am, which is perfect as he is usually flat on his back, sound asleep, from 6-7:00.  I ran across this quote this morning "It's Fine, I Ran Today"...gosh that's true.  I knew there would be great physical benefits from running but I had no idea there would be such great mental benefits as well.

IN THE HARVEST STUDIO...........Beeswax to pour, packing and shipping to do and new moppets to bring to life.  By the way..the sweet little fellow pictured above is one of the 5 bears I sent off to The Basically Bears shoppe :).

IN THE HARVEST KITCHEN.....It smells absolutely wonderful in here at the moment. I've tomato's roasting with peppers, onions and garlic, for freezing and a huge pot of homemade tomato soup simmering for our dinner this evening which I will be serving with crusty french bread.  The soup leftovers I am either going to can or freeze (probably freeze).

Wishing you a merry day. ♥doreen

Hi Doreen,

Ah, you have experienced the "runner's high", quite a wonderful feeling, isn't it?

Hugs, Happy Labor Day weekend.
