~ Plum Chutney And Running In The Rain~

Glad Tidings.  This last Monday in the Merry Month Of August has dawned breezy, dark and rainy here in Vermont.  The crickets seem to be enjoying it as they are singing like crazy this morning.  I was anticipating a run in the rain this morning, which would have been my first one ever, as luck would have it however, the rain held off and I was able to finish my 4th run or (week 2 ~ run 1) in dryness.  Goodness this feels good!!  And now..back inside & freshly showered ...I have PLUMS to do...I am about to put a batch of plum chutney & a batch of Plum Jam in the stock pots.   We had Sunday dinner at Mom & Dad's and while there, filled two baskets, one with gorgeous and yummy plums and the other with delicious apples.  I shall do plums today and apples tomorrow.  Our kitchen cupboard is beginning to fill up with the preserved fruits of our...and mom and dad's... labors :).  I LOVE IT!

IN THE  HARVEST STUDIO.................Today I've finishing touches, packing and shipping to take care off and tomorrow.....web show moppet making begins!!! :)

IN THE HARVEST KITCHEN................Steak On The Grill, Oven Roasted Potato's and tossed green salad for dinner this evening.

Wishing you a merry day :) ♥doreen

Sounds wonderful!
Congrats on the run. I try to walk 2.5 miles 5 times a week but running is something I have never been able to do not even as a teenager.

Great run. The plum jam sounds wonderful, it's been way too long since I have canned. After we move up into the mountains I plan to get back to all the fun country ways - MY fun country ways.

Thank you for sharing and Happy Monday.

I really want to learn how to make preserves, this sounds so yummy. Im kind of intimidated by the process though. But now that we live in a house with a basement, I dream of filling it with jars of canned things. Wish we had a rainy gray day coming soon! It's hotter than hot here!
