~Pumpkin Weather~

Good evening.  We've a crisp evening here in Vermont with dry leaves fluttering to the ground and the possibility of frost in the forecast. PUMPKIN WEATHER to be sure :).  We've pumpkins inside & out today as the garden variety turn a little more orange every day and the inside variety take shape.  I've black, cream and orange wool & velour pumpkins and floss pumpkins on linen.  These last pumpkins or tiny jacks, the one's on linen, are shown in the photo.  This is a lovely little punch-needle project by Pineberry Lane. I just love it.  I actually have quite a bit more done than this photo shows as I snapped this picture soon after getting started. I've placed it in my basket for the evening as I prepare to don my pj's and watch a bit of television before finding my way to our comfy bed, the house cozy and warm from a day of cooking and baking.  The scent of  roast chicken, homemade bread and gingerbread scones lingering snuggly around us.

Good night deare friends :)Doreen

Sounds so cozy and peaceful :-) I can just smell the roast chicken, yum!! I wish frost was in the forecast here.. It's still in the 100's with humidity in the 80%.. I love your pumpkin project! Have a good night! Hugs, Melissa

This does sound so warm and inviting...September is my favorite month as we transition from the crazy busy time of summer into the slowing down towards winter

Hmmm... perfect, a lovely dinner and snugly sitting by the fire doing hand work. My kind of evening.
