~Feeling Like Beatrix~

Good afternoon.  I sit, surrounded by thick papers, piles of pencils and mounds of erasers, sipping my coffee as the sun streams in the windows & a small fire burns in the hearth....feeling like Beatrix Potter.  Tonight I will participate in my first Watercolor Class and I am BEYOND excited.  This is something I have wanted to do since I was a young girl. To say that I am fan of Beatrix Potter would be an understatement.  I adore her.  I sorta feel like part of her is part of me..silly I know, but I wonder if perhaps I'm not the only person that feels this way about her.  She's a huge inspiration and is adored by so many.   I'm not sure where this new found skill will take me but I am SO excited to do just that.....let it take me.  So, this evening at 6:00pm you will find me, along with my other classmates, sitting in Pawlet in the studio of Lynn Pratt, soaking up all she has to teach me.

Mr. Windthorp here is the first dapper fellow I plan to paint..the moment I learn what I'm doing :)

Wishing you a merry day ~ doreen

I have always loved Beatrix Potter. I am a painter who loves to garden. I collect her books. I feel close to her too. Good luck with the painting, it is such a pleasure to paint.
