Doreen and family... I appreciated so much your Sept. 2nd post and the generous outpouring of your concern for the "Vermont family" left in the wake of Irene's devastation. We were with our daughter and son-in-law, in Whiting, when the fury hit... They just bought their first home, an 1860 fixer-upper! He works for CVPS... so you know he was busy! They are fine and we made it back to south jersey the following Tuesday. Even here, we had bridges out, homes under 6 plus feet of water, etc. A 9th generation farm family up in Addison County dropped us a note last week saying he remembered the flood of 1927 and it paled in comparison to the devastation that Irene wrought. You all are in our thoughts and prayers. Daryle

I loved walking into your warm cozy home,candles always lit,something always cooking and you are always busy creating.I loved smelling that wonderful pumpkin roasting in the oven,it was indeed the taste of fall.It is funny how many things me the "Mom" have learned from you.I have never tried that but it was so good. I can not wait to see how everything comes together for your open house !!! I know however large or small your first one will be it will be a success as always. Love you Mom

I never roasted my pumpkins, I just boil them. Roasted sounds yummy.

Would you consider sharing your pumpkin bread recipe? I have tried several and they just don't impress me.

Your Open House is going to be wonderful, I'll be there.
